My Keyholder loves me wearing my belt but the only issue he has is that he has to hold the key. Sometimes he wants to take my belt off and his key is in another room. That is annoying him.
So I was thinking I could carry his key on my body. How torturous would that be for me!
It's a large key, length about 2.5 inches. I thought maybe I could get a combination lock on a chain, only he would know the number. I couldn't hang it around my neck though, cos for it to be secure from me removing it, it would be too high and people would see it. Ankle, maybe. But it's a lot of chain and key. Might be uncomfortable.
Does anyone have any other suggestions how I can be forced to hold my own key but not be able to use it? ( without my Keyholder needing another key, obviously!)

Thigh bands with a little holster pouch with a combination lock that only hubby has combo for??? For emergency he could text the number to you to release the main key. Enjoy

Nice idea but I can't wear thigh bands all day. Would love to! But unfortunately, this Lady has got work to do

I might be able to help you here .....
Go to your local hardware store, and find a piece of flexible plastic pipe that your key will fit into - so the key will fully fit inside.
Then buy a small combination padlock.
Drill a hole through the plastic pipe, such that you can put the hoop of the combination lock through the hole in the pipe, and the hole in your belt key.
Then , when the combination lock is locked you can't use the key as it is locked inside the pipe.
But, it should be easy enough for you to hide in a bag / or even tape it to your belt around the waistband ??
I'm not 100% sure of the last bit - but I think you might sort that

My-Steel has a key stored inside the locking plate, but it can probably be difficult to do something similar on your belt.

So with the MySteel, you use a numbered seal to keep the real key out of reach ? Is that how it works ?

Perhaps belt makers should do a combination lock option ?

Numbered plastic locks are very secure. Can´t be open, without being visible. Also available with a thin wire that must be cut with tools, if it needed a little more security.
