I like the idea of piercings and locks because of the permanence, but I am slightly concerned about the holes eventually stretching/tearing because of the weight. I'd love to hear from anyone who has used this system for an extended period of time (>6 months to years) about any issues of the sort they may have had.

Same as what I said in the other thread, these types of piercings get irritated pretty easily. In the line of piercing work they're mostly used for shoots and short term stuff. After a short while they typically have to be taken out.
