Adding lining

Hello all,
This is my first topic here. I have quick question - how to attach the lining?
Let me explain - I found someone ready to cut the metal part of the belt (I'm using drawings from here) and to experiment with metrics and tests for cheap. The only problem we have is what kind of lining to use and how to attach it to the metal parts.
Please explain as simple as possible, as I have to search for the materials in my country (so if you can add photos or links will be great).
