Can women wear belts during their period?

Short answer - yes!

However, there should be the opportunity to change menstrual protection and shower every day.

Tampons works well, if someone can open and you can switch.
Protect also with a pad outside chastity belt, if you will be safer.

No! It is stainless steel.
It is not affected by any body fluids, but should of course be kept as clean as possible.
Daily showers and preferably cleaned with warm water and soap when changing tampons.

Thank you for the information. This is something I've thought about. I want to know if there's any suggestions for if you are wearing the belt for long-term without having access to the keys for a week or so?

Properly fitted so that your chastity belt fits comfortably on your body and that you get used to it being always on, is the most important thing.
You should remove it at least every 10 days, to clean properly and also check the skin, so no marks have appeared.
If you do so, it is no bodily problems to use it for a very long time.
