So there are two sides to this:
One side believes thigh bands prevent unauthorized touching and makes the belt more secure.
The other side believes the vagina insert prevents unauthorized touching and makes the chastity belt more secure.
Each has their preferences and reasons!
VOTE and be heard. Which side are you?
The Gorgon is definitely for the insert and AGAINST THIGH BANDS!!! GAH! lol

According to John Harold Higginbottom, the purpose of thigh bands on a chastity belt is to protect the virgin's hymen from non-sexual damage by preventing the young Lady from indulging in exercises or exertions which might tear it without a male around. (Mr H founded Tollyboy. IMHO, during his lifetime he was the world's reigning expert on external control of female chastity.)

Virginitysaving, in re. yours of 1544, whether or not it is or is not true that exercises and/or exertions could break a virgin's hymen, this is what Mr. H's Saudi and Gulf States clients told him.

Well, I haven't had a hymen for a real long time, so thigh bands are unnecessary to keep me from rupturing such. Yeah, not a virgin here. As if I wear a chastity belt to preserve what I am not. Immaterial argument given current situation.
Inserts. Thumbs UP
Thigh bands. SUCKY. Virginitysaving will wear them though. I fully endorse that.
But not me. I like to be able to move about unimpeded.
