A pulse-oximeter is probably simpler than a CPA and might serve as a good springboard: https://hackaday.com/tag/pulse-oximeter/

Though anti-erection (anti-arousal) would kind of be the holy grail also controlling pulse levels have a valid uses:
* limit maximum pulse: enforce calm and posed lady-like behaviour
* limit minimum pulse: good for enforcing exercise level
* reach a pulse threshold: enforce HIIT-exercise

All of these could of course be programmed to be based on time of day and calendar to the micro-controller (e.g. arduino).

Hackaday.com has info on a very small plethysmograph and some code for reading it.

I am new to this group and just started poking around to see what information I could find related to my own belt issue when i stumbled across this thread. Never until now have I ever thought about this question or potential issue. To be frank, I thought it would be desirable to let her get aroused only to be faced with and frustrated by the fact that there is no means for her to pleasure herself or achieve orgasm.

Just to share I purchased I my steel belt for my wife last year but since then she has only worn it a couple of times as it tends to pinch. The system we purchased was the total comfort chastity with the cable flat slotted shield with removable labia protector and single lock. I have shared some pics on my fetlife page. If anyone can help please contact me.

This is some interesting lab equipment for photoplethysmography. Not sure if the clitoral sensor uses pararell, or angled sensors (which is noted as more reliable). It also seems like the sensors are angled sideways to measure the labia.

The clitoral piece could be adjusted to fit a belt. Both of these would be pretty easy to 3d print, install the sensors, and then coat with epoxy.
